Domenation, developed by Blackmouth Games, introduces a fresh take on the battle royale genre with its innovative gameplay mechanics. Unlike traditional battle royale games that rely on shrinking play areas, Domenation requires players to seek refuge within energy shields called Domes. These protective barriers appear periodically across the map to shield players from the Pulse, a phenomenon that occurs every minute. As the game progresses, the number of available Domes decreases, intensifying combat until a final showdown within a Dome.
The current Early Access version of Domenation supports matches with up to 28 players, with plans to accommodate up to 42 participants through future updates. Each game lasts for 12 minutes, providing players with a paced and engaging gameplay experience. Players have the freedom to explore the map, scavenge for loot, and engage in battles with AI opponents to acquire items. The game also offers opportunities for character customization through skins and chips that enhance gameplay mechanics.
Throughout the map, players can find chests filled with loot, including weapons, grenades, shields, and health packs. Rare items are harder to come by but provide an advantage in outlasting opponents. By strategically utilizing loot items, players can increase their chances of survival and emerge victorious in battle.
Blackmouth Games prioritizes community engagement and Play to Earn features in Domenation. By involving users in the game’s creation and adapting based on player feedback, the game remains dynamic and relevant with evolving challenges. Although the full launch of Play to Earn mechanics is not yet active, plans are in place to introduce a system featuring $DOMEN as its utility token. Players can earn $DOMEN through various means, such as completing challenges and participating in tournaments, to acquire NFTs, enhance player experiences, and unlock benefits.
